IDC highlights DataBridge, Genpact's initiative to upskill workforce on data analytics
As data and analytics skills become an integral part of every function, analysts at International Data Corporation (IDC), a premier global market intelligence firm, have written about our undertaking to upskill 100,000+ Genpact employees in data science techniques.
In the report, IDC notes our internal data literacy program, DataBridge, which aims to shift employees away from transactional projects and into insight-generating roles – the type of roles that drive long-term value for our clients.
To date, more than 68,000 employees have enrolled, logging more than 180,000 hours of training and receiving more than 800 certifications.
The IDC report comes on the heels of a Corinium and Genpact study, Data-driven business transformation, which calls for a cultural shift as business and technology leaders work together to boost data literacy throughout the enterprise.
Research from IDC shows a similar trend as organizations of all sizes prioritize investments to upskill their workforce in data skills: "33% of global respondents in IDC's Future of Intelligence Survey indicate the most important (top-rated) investment in building enterprise intelligence in the next 12 months is training internal talent on data literacy skills."
